Way to York

For those who are driving up to our flat in York this weekend, here are directions:

From the South you're best off heading up the M1 for about 170 miles until you get to Leeds. At Leeds, the M1 forks where it carries on being the M1 on the left fork and if you carry on straight, it becomes the M621 into Leeds City Centre. Look out for this and make sure you take the left fork continuing on the M1 - driving in Leeds is a nightmare. The M1 will turn into the A1(M), which will turn into the A1 and you need to keep going until you see signs for the A64 to York (there's quite a few of them) - take the A64. From the A64, you need to take the exit for "York (North)" - this is the A1237 and is the first exit for York from the A64. Follow the sign to York from the roundabout as you come off the exit and stay on the A1237 for some time. You'll need to go straight on at several roundabouts, most of them medium sized, a couple of them large. You'll also pass Clifton Moor Retail Park on your right. Very soon after this, there's a roundabout which directs you right for the District Hospital (B1363) - take that right and head towards the hospital. You need to stay on the B1363 for about 2 miles, during which you'll need to go straight at some lights by the Bumper Castle pub, go over a level crossing and pass the Nestle factory on your left. After that, there are some lights on a small hill. Go straight at these and take your first right, Feversham Crescent - there's a Guest House on each corner and the one facing you is called Feversham Lodge and has some Chinese writing on it as it's an Acupuncture place as well. Park in the first available bay space you see - parking's normally at a premium. If there's no space down Feversham Crescent, you can turn left out of there and park in the small bay just outside the Hilton Lodge Guest House, or turn right and park in the large bay past the first mini roundabout. Remember to turn your driver side wing mirror in if you turn left and park in the small bay outside the Hilton Lodge! We're at Flat 4, 4 Feversham Crescent and we have parking permits for all those spaces. If you need to call, my mob is 07776 220714 and the landline is 01904 671386. Hope you have a safe journey up and looking forward to a top weekend. Nice.
